The “Maxi”-dovetail clamping plate 4″ XL is designed to accept 4” 10Micron dovetail slide bars, suitable for heavier configurations. Advisable for example for optical tubes larger than 14” or for dual telescope setup. Lenght 350mm; 3 security locking knobs. Note for GM3000 & GM4000 users: Although it should be possible to accommodate this plate directly on the top of the GM3000 & GM4000 mount, due to the low profile of the clamping plates we strongly recommend using the special Flange Adapters 10M3545/10M4545 in order to operate the plate’s knobs with enough clearance.

About This Product
This special double plate is designed to allow a parallel mounting of two optical tubes on the 10Micron mounts. The bottom slide is a standard 3” dovetail bar (Losmandy compatible) #10M2130; the clamping plates are two 3” Losmandy compatible (#10M2085). All the components are CNC machined, black anodized aluminum. There are 3 different possible distances between the two clamps: approx. 210, 245 and 281mm (8.3”, 9.6”, 11”). Note: – The GM1000 HPS Mount needs the #10M1105 Adapter in order to mantain the corret encoder’s position references – All the other mounts require a #10M2085 or #10M2185 3″ Losmandy clamping plate.

The Giant Dovetail clamping plate 8” is an extra sturdy, black aluminum anodized machined clamp suitable for 8″ dovetail bars including those for Planewave OTA’s CDK 17, CDK 20 and CDK 24. Although it fits the medium-size the 2000HPS mounts, this clamping plate is specially recommended for very heavy optical configurations on the GM3000 and GM4000 mounts.
