UK-based Rowan Astronomy’s AZ100 Alt-Azimuth Mount moves your optics in altitude or azimuth independently and includes the option to lock the mount’s position and to guide it manually. The Rowan AZ100 is easy to setup and use and just as easy to transport from one dark site to another. This version includes the GoTo Motor system and slow motion hand knobs.

Please note that when the mount is ordered with the motors installed, the slow-motion cable handles are not included, only the short knobs. If you want the cable handles as well, then they need to be added as an accessory.

Supplied with 16mm diameter x 320mm long eyepiece counterweight shaft which can be fitted to the front or rear of the Y-axis balance plate depending on which side of the mount the Y-axis plate is fitted.

CNC machined, black anodized finished and fitted with stainless steel hardware.

Available with the altitude axis spacer which will be required if you have a motor system fitted and fit the Y-axis balance plate on the left side of the mount.

Replacement bushes are also available.

The tripod central bolt must protrude a minimum 10mm above the tripod top face for sufficient thread engagement. NOTE: Some tripods may require the central bolt exchanging for a longer type. CNC machined and black anodized finished and supplied with stainless steel hardware.

About This Product
This adaptor allows fitting the AZ100 directly to a pier surface with out the need to access from below. The pier top will require 4 x M8 tapped holes on 90.0mm circle. Bolts directly to the base of the AZ100.

Will also fit to tripods using a M12 , M10 , or 3/8" bolt.
The tripod central bolt must protrude a minimum 10mm above the tripod top face for sufficient thread engagement. NOTE: Some tripods may require the central bolt exchanging for a longer type. CNC machined and black anodized finished and supplied with stainless steel hardware.
